Nail #43 : OPI Dim Sum Plum

I got this nail polish long time ago in a salon which was having 20% off on these nail polishes and I can’t remember how much I got these for. I have heard about this nail polish from lot of bloggers and this is one of their favorite so I decided to go for this :D . This is a pinky plum color and the picture just doesn’t show the true color. This is a fantastic color for my skin tone and I think this is one of those colors which will suits all skin tone :) . I really love this color and my toes love this color :) . This is definitely one of the colors you should have if you are obsessed with nail colors.

Nail #42 : Rimmel Blue Vogue & Essie Shine of the times

I am absolutely in love with this Essie nail polish and I actually understand what the bloggers were talking about. I applied the Rimmel Blue Vogue which is a dark blue almost black blue. I just applied one coat and then after it dried up, I applied one coat of Essie Shine of the times. The picture doesn’t do justice to this nail polish but you could see lot of swatches in the blogs. I love the shine and I kept looking at my nails :D . I got lot of compliments for this nail polish as well :) .

I found this Essie mini Summer collection 2011 in TJ Maxx and I just couldn’t resist them :D . Seriously 4 nail polish for $ 10, who can resist it. The colors seen here are Meet Me at Sunset, Smooth Sailing, Braziliant and Super Bossa Nova. I have see one more collection but it was like a natural looking nail polish which I am not fond of. Hopefully these look good on my nails :) .

Nail #41 : OPI Servin up Sparkle

I got them in a Serena William set along with Grape Set Match. This looked so interesting that I knew it will look good. It has a lot of sparkles which can be almost described as holographic. It shows so many colors in the light. Though my nails doesn’t show its true color, you can see it in the bottle of how colorful can it be.

I applied one coat on top of Essie Your Hut or Mine. Since that color looked so bland on my hands, I decided to apply the holographic nail polish on top of it. And I have to say I absolutely love it. During daylight, it looks like a normal sparkle coat with some colors but at night in the yellow light, it shows how it truly can look :D . I love this nail polish, definitely worth it. I can see myself applying this on top of a dark nail polish and going out on a night :) .

Nail #40 : Essie Your Hut or Mine

I found this in Ulta in the clearance section for about $ 5.99 and the retail price is $8.99. This is my first Essie nail polish. This is a peachy/coral color nail polish and on the first glance it was not that attractive but when you look close you see those minute gold and pink shimmer which looks almost like a sheen.

The packaging is cute and the formulation is super smooth but you need at least 2-3 coats since one coat is too sheer. For my first Essie, I actually liked the formulation and the brush. No wonder it’s an favourite for so many nail-o-holics :) .

Ok, the truth is this color doesn’t suit my skin tone at all :( . Its looks so bland in my nails that I wasn’t impressed at all. But I heard other bloggers saying that they liked it and I think this will suit more fair skin tones and not medium skin tone. I kept looking at my nails and thinking that I need to change my nail polish :) . But I will buy more of this brand in the future, maybe other colors which suit my skin tone and it definitely has to be on sale :D .

Nail #39 : OPI Grape Set Match

You know that I am a complete bargain addict and I do resist buying stuffs for a full price unless it’s absolutely worth it or maybe limited editions. I never buy those high-end nail polishes unless I find them in the clearance section. So I was totally shocked to see OPI Serena’s Collection in TJ Maxx. And I loved this set on the first sight and I knew immediately that I would buy them without a doubt :) . I got the pair for about $ 7.99 which is a total bargain since I saw this collection in Ulta for $ 14.99.

The color is so unique since I do have a lot of purple nail polishes :D . It’s a deep grape color with minute pink, purple and blue glitters. It looks amazing in the bottle. The formulation is good, no streaks at all and I applied 2 coats and it looked fine. I think I should have done one more coat. But the glitters are not very visible unless you see it close.

I seriously love this one and I couldn’t catch the true color in my pics :( and I added one of the best I had and you can see the color in the bottle with the glitters. But I found one blog which had the amazing pic of this nail color and you can see it here. I do think the set is probably worth paying the price if you a nail-o-holic :D . I had it for almost 7 days with no chipping and it looked fantastic under the lights. I just couldn’t stop checking out every time I went into the bathroom :D .

Nail Polish Haul

I have hauled lot of nail polishes lately and I have to show you stuffs which I got in the past 2 weeks since I thought it was some of the best bargains :) . I have to talk about the OPI Serena collection. I found this pair in TJ Maxx and I love that shop :D . I got this pair for $ 8 where as I still saw this collection in Ulta for $ 15 :) . Then I went to Ulta to see if I can find the Essie Shine of the times nail polish since it is a limited edition and one of the best dupes for Sally Hansen’s Hidden treasure which you can’t find it anymore :) . Anyway, I couldn’t find it :( , the shelf was bare and I was so disappointed  so I checked out their clearance area and I found 2 nail polishes which I liked. I found Essie Your hut or mine and Essence Holographic nail polish in Blue Ray.

So I thought that I am never going to get that nail polish, but hubby took me to Walgreens on sunday and What do I see? Essie Shine of the time and you can see me diving to the shelf to get one  and I seriously shouted “YES” . I am so thrilled to get this nail polish. I am hoping to do more nail series in the future.

Nail #38 : Wet n Wild Wild Shine

During the month of April, Walgreens was having a sale on Wet N Wild products. I got this nail polish in Aubergine Frost for about 69 cents :D . The color is the first thing which I notices. It’s a deep purple pink with a purple sheen on top. It is difficult to describe the color but it is one of my favorite of the bunch :) .

The packaging is simple with a plastic cap but don’t think that just because it looks cheap that the product is not worth it. It has one of the best formulation. It is so smooth to apply and I somehow love this more than the Maybelline :) . The brush doesn’t cause any streaks and with two coats on the nails, they are amazing.

I LOVE this color :D . The first time I applied on my nails, I just couldn’t stop looking at it. It has this unique color and it is very eye catching but not in the neon color way :) . Even on my toes, they look amazing. It did last for about 5 days without chipping which is fantastic. This is the one shade I would buy again and again (If I ever finish off my first bottle) :D .

Nail #37 : Maybelline Express Finish

I got this in the color Go Go Green in the clearance section in Target for $ 2 . As the name suggests, it’s a light green in color and I didn’t have this particular shade of green so I decided to go ahead and try them :) . Since the starting of this year, I was so busy that I haven’t painted my nails for a long time. And after Baby A is born, it is difficult to find time to paint my nails. And what do you know? Whenever I try to paint my nails, she starts crying  .

Moving on, I cannot decide whether I like the formulation or not. When I applied the first coat, it was streaky with streaks all over the nails and I absolutely hated it. But after the second coat, it was not bad. But still streaks were visible. Maybe its the brush or maybe it was this particular shade, I don’t know. Since this is my first nail polish from this brand, I can’t compare the brush to other colors.

Moving on to the good part, I absolutely LOVE this color :D . I just couldn’t stop admiring the color in the day light. It has a base color of light green and shimmers of lemon yellow in them. I just cannot describe this color to the fullest. Its has a duochrome effect. I think of all the green color I have, this is my favourite :) .

Nail #36 : Wet n Wild Nail Polish

I got the color Gray’s Anatomy in Walgreens for about $ 1.99 . This is one of the limited edition color which is suppose to be a dupe of the expensive brand Deborah Lippmann :) . As soon as the beauty bloggers started talking about this nail polish, there was a shortage in the drugstore :D . Everyone wanted to have this color as it’s a unique one. When I was visiting Walgreens a while back, I saw the last bottle of this nail polish and decided to grab this before it goes of the shelf. I still couldn’t capture the true color of this nail polish in my camera. But if you want to see the photo of other bloggers then check out this and this.

How to describe the color to you? It has a base of pale grey lilac color with a duo-chrome effect of blue, green and pale pink. It is very sheer though. I had 2 coats of this nail polish but I could still see the nails :) . The formulation is quite good. It applies smoothly and the brush doesn’t streak which is fantastic. It is such a unique color but not so in your face which is always the case of unique colors :) . I really LOVE this color. The moment you spot this bottle you will know what I mean.
