Nail Haul

I found this Essie mini Summer collection 2011 in TJ Maxx and I just couldn’t resist them :D . Seriously 4 nail polish for $ 10, who can resist it. The colors seen here are Meet Me at Sunset, Smooth Sailing, Braziliant and Super Bossa Nova. I have see one more collection but it was like a natural looking nail polish which I am not fond of. Hopefully these look good on my nails :) .

Cherry Culture Haul

I have wanted to buy stuffs from cherry culture for a long time but just didn’t think it was worth it. But I decided to get some stuffs during the Black Friday sale :) . They had 20% off plus free shipping going on. So I decided to stock up stuffs which I wanted to try. Will do some review soon.

  1. NYX Mega shine lipgloss in Sunset
  2. NYX Mega shine lipgloss in Golden Pink (They changed the original color and I don’t like this color at all )
  3. Milani liquify eyeliner pencil in black
  4. Jordana Easy eyeliner in  Sea Green and Blue Devine
  5. Jordana Easy shine glossy lip color in Sugar Plum, Sweet Strawberry and Sugar Cookie.

Nail Polish Haul

I have hauled lot of nail polishes lately and I have to show you stuffs which I got in the past 2 weeks since I thought it was some of the best bargains :) . I have to talk about the OPI Serena collection. I found this pair in TJ Maxx and I love that shop :D . I got this pair for $ 8 where as I still saw this collection in Ulta for $ 15 :) . Then I went to Ulta to see if I can find the Essie Shine of the times nail polish since it is a limited edition and one of the best dupes for Sally Hansen’s Hidden treasure which you can’t find it anymore :) . Anyway, I couldn’t find it :( , the shelf was bare and I was so disappointed  so I checked out their clearance area and I found 2 nail polishes which I liked. I found Essie Your hut or mine and Essence Holographic nail polish in Blue Ray.

So I thought that I am never going to get that nail polish, but hubby took me to Walgreens on sunday and What do I see? Essie Shine of the time and you can see me diving to the shelf to get one  and I seriously shouted “YES” . I am so thrilled to get this nail polish. I am hoping to do more nail series in the future.

L to R : Essie Your hut or mine, Essie Shine of the times, Essence Blue Ray, OPI Grape set match & OPI Servin up sparkle

Birthday Gift & Haul

Hello Readers,

Today is Your Truly’s Birthday :D . And I decided to show you all what I bought and What I got :) . I remembered that last year this time, hubby took me to a shopping spree in Belfast :) and I raided some good stuffs in CCO there. So this year, hubby wanted to know what I want but I just couldn’t decide what I want.

So 2 weeks ago, I went to Sephora to get my B’day gift from them, which is Philosophy Shower Gel in Vanilla cupcake. I also decided to check out their Beauty Mini section which I LOVE. I hate buying a full product especially when it is expensive without checking if they will suit my skin or if I like it. So these are prefect for people like me. I went to Bellevue Square Sephora and I realized that they had nothing I want to buy :( . So I bought the Clinique bottom lash mascara which I have wanted to buy for a very long time :) .

This was followed by raiding JC Penny, nothing caught my eyes. So I went straight off to get a new jeans :) as Lee was having some sale for $ 25 :) . Since my pregnancy, I was wearing the maternity jeans and they have gotten loose so I decided to get a new jeans for my B’day. It just fits perfectly. It reminds of the NEXT jeans which fits me good as well. I got them in a dark navy color.

Last weekend, we went to the Alderwood mall and there I went to Forever 21 and I found a nice cardigan sweater in the sale rack for $ 8. Then I saw Sephora inside the JC Penny, so I decided to go there and try some Buxom lip gloss :) .  Then my eye caught the Beauty Mini section and OMG, they had all the stuffs which I wanted to try. So I decided to get them for my B’day. I got the Benefit Some kind of Gorgeous to go and Benefit Stay put set. I am so excited to try them and was tempted to get more :D .

I also decided to get a hair cut. The last time I had a hair cut was during last week of November 2010 and I have neglected my hair a lot during my pregnancy which made my hair go very dry and fizzy. It has gotten longer, nearly to the middle of my back and it was difficult to keep up. So I decided to go shorter and easy to maintain hair style. I got a shoulder length with layers. Hopefully I can keep up this style :) .

So finally my B’day surprise gift from hubby, Ta da, Jennifer Anisten Perfume :D . I tried this perfume the last time I was in Sephora and I really liked it. So I told hubby that I want to buy that the next time :) . So he surprised me with this gift :D .

Finally we went out for dinner and had a good food :) .

Bargain Alert #12

I felt like going for a shopping haul today so I decided to go to Walgreens after a long time since I wanted to check out the Wet n Wild cosmetics since they are only $ 0.69 this month :) . I checked out blogs to see what everyone are talking about and I got some list of stuffs to check out.

Once I was in Walgreens, I straight away went out to the stand where they had the Wet n Wild items. I got 502A Dark Pink Frost and 521A Fuchsia with blue pearl. I also got the lip liner in Willow followed by nail polish in Aubergine Frost. Then when I was just browsing the shop, I saw the hair accessories bin which was $ 0.99 each so I decided to raid them along with my mom. I got some nice hair bands, clips and shower cap.

I then decided to go to the Sally Beauty which I wanted to visit for a long time. I had my eye on getting the Argon oil since I have started using them on my hair. It is supposed to be like a treatment for the fizz. I had neglected my hair badly during my pregnancy and my hair has been pretty dry and fizzy. When I found that Argon oil works best on dry hair, I got the Josie Maran Argon oil from Sephora. But it is expensive of about 0.5 oz for about $ 14. Whereas the Proclaim Natural 7 oil is about $ 5 for 8 oz which is pretty good value. I also got the Gingersnap hand lotion for about $ 0.49 and the Sally girl baked eyeshadow in Gold which is $ 0.99.

So overall, I did get good bargain today :) .

Goodies…

I have been buying some stuffs for the past 2 months and I thought I will show them to my beauty readers :) . I haven’t been buying lot of stuffs but I did get some stuffs which I really want to try. My parents are already here and my brother is visiting me for this week :) .

Starting off with my recent purchase :D , this is a labor day weekend in USA so there are a lot of sales going on in all of the shops. We went to the premium outlet mall which is about 45 min drive. I wasn’t in a mood for cloth shopping at all as I don’t have space in my closet. Seriously, no space, I wonder if the closet is smaller :) than my Dublin one. So my main goal was to get a good sunglass as hubby promised me one :) . We went to the sunglass Hut and I found a perfect one for me in the sale :D . I got the Ralph Lauren glass which covers my eyebrows and half of my cheeks :D . I just loved it, Its dark brown in color and I have always wanted to get a branded sunglass as hubby has Oakley :) .

Even though I decided not to buy anything, I went into the Crabtree & Evelyn store and they were having a massive sale. I just got Deodorising shower foam which was just $ 3 and the original price was about $ 16 :) . Followed by entering into CCO :D , I was there for over half an hour just browsing all the stuffs they had. Finally one lipstick caught my eye, It was Estee Lauder Hydra Luster Lipstick in Plum Amethyst. I was searching for this in their website and found that it’s a discontinued favourite :) . I loved the color of this lipstick which is a plum with a pink undertone. I was tempted to get a prescriptive lipstick or even the origins lipstick but none of the color called to me :) .

Moving on, I always had my eye on this website called Vitacost . I heard it from YouTube and it has a lot of products which has organic/natural ingredients in it. All the products are at least 10-70% off the retail price which is fantastic. As I wanted to get some vitamin supplement, I decided to order some more products which I wanted to try :) . I got the following products to try.

  • Jason 6-in-1 natural shaving lotion
  • Jason vitamin E revitalizing moisturizing cream
  • Chandrika Ayurvedic herbal soap (hubby’s favourite)
  • Grandpa’s baking soda soap
  • Dr. Wood’s Pure black soap with organic shea butter
  • Queen Helene cocoa butter creme
  • Goji berry facial cream
  • Queen Helene avocado & grapefruit masque
  • Queen Helene Jojoba hot oil treatment

I gave a list of stuffs for my mom to get me as well :) . And I blame Rati for this entire haul :D . She got me addicted to the Fab India Rose facial spray :D . So I wanted to try some new stuffs after reading some reviews from her blog. I got the Bitter orange facial spray and the vitamin E de-pigmentation cream from Fab India. I love the Lotus lip balms so I got 3 different flavors and also the Lotus sun screen gel which I wanted to try after reading Rati’s blog :) .

Finally, I got some small stuffs here and there in the drugstore about a month ago. I got the Wet n Wild product as I wanted to try them. I got the Gel Eyeliner in black, their Mega last lipstick in Wine Room and their Wild shine nail color in Rose Rouge :) in Rite-Aid . I also got the EOS lipbalm in a stick form in vanilla in Walgreens. Before leaving Dublin, I got the Catrice limited nail colour in Go to the Sea. I went to Daiso which is a Japanese dollar store and I love browsing that shop. I got a liquid eyeliner in brown just to try how it works :) .

That is all I got within the past 2 months :) . Hope you enjoyed my haul and I will definitely be reviewing all these in the near future :D .

Other Hauls…

Other than beauty related stuffs, I got some nice enough sandals and a finger ring in India :D . I went to Lifestyle in Chennai and they were having sale and I decided to check it out. I was browsing the footware section :) and I found 2 sandals which was in my size and it was just Rs . 700 for those two and I decided to buy. They both go well with salwars. They were surprisingly comfortable to walk with and the soles were soft as well.

The next favourite of mine is the Oxidised silver finger ring which I bought :D . I loved how they look like 2 leaves joining together. They fit me perfectly and was wearing it all the time in India :) .

ELF Haul

I have been eyeing the ELF products for nearly an year. And finally I have bought some :D . For readers who don’t know what I am talking about, its a cosmetic brand of course :D . Check out ELF USA and ELF UK website. They sell inexpensive but good quality products. They are pretty popular in the beauty community. Most of the products are $ 1 or £1.50. Did you see the difference between the countries? :( . I know, but their products are worth it. I am in love with their makeup brushes.

Their new studio line collection are pretty popular right now and they are about $ 3 or £ 3.50. Even though the prices are inexpensive, you have to take in count about the shipping cost. In USA, they are about $ 7 which is not bad. I have bought some stuffs from ELF when I was in USA. I was not impressed with their shipping. I paid about $ 12 for 3 days shipping and it took about 5 days to reach me.

I still haven’t used any of the makeup brushes but they have good reviews so I am looking forward to use them :) . I have used the Studio line blush/bronzing and I like the blush colour. I am still scared of using the bronze on my face. I have tanned a lot so I don’t think I would need a bronze on my face.

Tip : Subscribe to their newsletter and they would send you promotions. I got 75% off coupon from them :D . Last week in the UK website they had £ 1 shipping for all europe countries. So always keep an eye on their newsletter if you are interested in buying them.

Outlet mall and Belfast Haul

I am going to tell you about the list of stuffs i bought in the outlet mall and belfast. I haven’t used any of this but I will in the future and I will review it :) . The stuffs which i bought in the CCS are from L to R :

  1. MAC, X-rocks blush (Pinky mauvey colour with little bit of shimmer and they are sheer which are good)
  2. MAC, Layin Low Paint Pot (these are mainly cream eyeshadows or also used as a base for the eyeshadows and can also be used as primers for eyes) (light brown, more like nude brown and i bought this to even out my eyelid colour)
  3. MAC, Rubenesque Paint Pot ( more of Goldeney pink and i have wanted this for a very long time)
  4. Bobby Brown, Pot rouge for Cheeks & Lips in Blushed Rose (pinky mauvey colour but a cream blush)

The other stuffs which I bought in Belfast shopping centre are as follows from L to R:

  1. Batiste Dry shampoo in Blush & Tropical (they are the best thing which i have discovered. wonderful when you don’t have time to wash greasy looking hair)
  2. Dispersable Aspirin (on top) for the face mask
  3. 2True Cheek & Lip tint (dupe of Benefit Benetint) (its basically a lip stain in pink)
  4. Superdrug body lotion in the flavour that you can read from the photo
  5. Finally Schwarakopf Heat Protectant Spray (it also says that it leaves the hair soft & shiny so i thought i will give it a try)

I love Semichem shop where you get fantastic deals :) . We bought lots of stuffs for home from there. And i am looking forward to try the body lotion and the hair spray. I will review it soon. But most of all I was very happy about the purchases of the MAC items as there were 30% of the retail price :) .

My Trip to Belfast

Let me tell you why we went to belfast today. Last week while i was looking at a beauty forum, I found that Junction One Outlet Mall has CCS (Cosmetic Company Store) :) . I was seriously excited so much that i couldn’t think anything else but all the cosmetic bargains i could find there. For people who doesn’ t know what CCS is, Its a cosmetic store which sells mostly high end brands like MAC, Clinique, Bobby Brown, Prescriptive, Origins, etc for 30% off the retail price (I know.. yayyy). Its very popular in USA.

I mainly wanted to take a look at the MAC as i had my eye on the paint pots & shadesticks. So we started our journey today at 9 am and reached the outlet mall at about 11.45 am which is seriously not bad. I was beside myself with excitement when we reached there. There are about 30 shops over there and i went into every shop but i seriously couldn’t find anything to buy there. The main shops which i was interested in was CCS and NEXT clearence. But I have to say i was really dissapointed to about both. I went to the All Wella Goods Store and god some nice deals on bio oil, eye cream and some lipsticks which were just £ 1.00.

CCS didn’t have much MAC collection which i was interested in. But the prices were awesome. They didn’t have the colour which i wanted and they were only £ 7.50 which is seriously a bargain. The MSF blushes were about £ 11.50 and lots of the other brands were comparitively cheap as well :) . But i didn’t buy anything, I was seriously pissed about it. NEXT was another dissapointment, all i could find was just one top which i liked for £ 8.00.

Finally we went to the Castlecourt shopping centre in belfast. There i found some good bargains which i will tell you below. We went to Superdrug and I loved it. I found mini Bourjois cosmetics which was really cute. Then i got my hair cut :) . Finally we came home by 7.30 pm. I am so tired. Overall, its was an ok trip.
