This is a recipe i found it in someone’s blogspot (can’t remember whose) and i tried. It was absolutely brilliant. Its simple and quite quick to make.
Ingredients2 Onions, chopped 6 Garlic cloves, chopped 1 inch Ginger, chopped 1 can chopped Tomato 1/2 tsp Turmeric 1 tsp Chilli Powder Coriander chopped, handful Mint chopped, handful
Seasoning1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds 1 tsp Urad Dhal 1 tsp Toor Dhal 1 tsp Fennel seeds 3 Cloves 1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick 1 Stalk Curry Leaves
Add oil in the pressure cooker and when its hot add all the seasoning and wait till it gets little browned. Then add the chopped onions and toss it for 2 minutes. Then add the garlic & ginger and toss it till they turn light brown. Finally add the tomatoes, mint, coriander, turmeric and chilli powder and wait till the oil comes up.
Now add 1 cup of rice along with 1 and half cups of water. Then close the pressure cooker and keep for 4 whistle and turn it off.
Serve hot with raita or plain yoghurt.
