Semiya Payasam (with blueberries & dates)

I made this payasam for the christmas dinner. This is my version but if you want you can add more fruits or berries.

Ingredients

Semiya or vermicelli – 1 packet
milk – 1/2 litre
sugar – 1 cup
cashewnut – 1/2 cup
raisins – 1/2 cup
blueberries – 1 cup
dates, chopped – 1/2 cup
cardamom powder – 1 tsp
nutmeg – 1 tsp
ghee – 2 tsp

Method

Add 2 tsp of ghee in the pan. Fry cashewnuts till they are brown and then fry the raisins till they get swollen. Then add the vermicelli or semiya and fry till they get browned. Add half of the milk and then keep adding the rest of the milk till the vermicelli is cooked. Then add 1 cup of water along with dates, blueberries, sugar, cardamom and nutmeg. Stir it once. Then allow it to boil and wait it gets condensed. Finaly add the cashewnut and raisins. Serve hot.
