Day 4 & 5 in Nice

Day 4

I got a good sleep that night and got up at 12 pm ๐Ÿ™‚ . But I was tired and wasn’t in a mood to do anything. Hubby had conference till 5.30 pm. So I left the hotel by 3.30 pm and went to the city center by bus. I had my lunch there and wasn’t interested in doing anything else except visit the Shopping mall called Nicetoile. I read that it has about 100 shops there and decided to take a look at it. I have to say that all the shops looked posh ๐Ÿ™‚ .

It had about 3 floors full of shops and I decided to go around and check what the shops are. I finally found a nice shop which I actually can buy something ๐Ÿ™‚ . Its called C&A, I recognised this brand because I have been to that shop before near Paris. Anyhoos, I got a 2 good ear rings which I loved.

By this time, hubby returned and we decided to go to the end of the shopping street to see what they have. And we realised that there was a Notre Dame Church in that street and when we went inside, prayers were going on, so we quietly came out ๐Ÿ™‚ . Then we decided to go back to our hotel because I just wasn’t in a mood to go around anymore. We ended up getting some sandwiches for our dinner and returned to the hotel.

I also took some photos of the beach just right infront of our hotel ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Day 5

I had a pretty bad night with the coughing ๐Ÿ˜ฆ and my throat was so sore and I couldn’t sleep at all. I got up at 12 pm in the morning still tired. Hubby told me he will come early today and we decided to go to Cannes. So I left the hotel by 3.15 pm and waited for him near the train station.

We got a train to Cannes and it was about 30 min ride. The route was absolutely fantastic with the ocean view. I loved to watch all the yachtย and people finishing in the beach ๐Ÿ™‚ . We reached Cannes and went to the tourist office to see what to do and realised that all the main attraction are just about 15 min walk and so we decided to walk. On the way, we ended up in the shopping street of Cannes. Needless to say, it was all posh exclusive boutique and some popular brand shops.

View from the train

We walked for about an hour and ended up in the building where Cannes Film Festival was going on. We saw a lot of people on formal wear and we saw the red carpet and it was filled with photographer near the red carpet and the entire streets were filled with paparazzi/normal photographers ๐Ÿ™‚ . Thank god, We took the train because beach road in Cannes was crowded for the Film festival.

We also ended up in the port where exclusive yacht were parked (I hope it’s the correct term ๐Ÿ™‚ ). I was in awe looking at how luxurious the yacht were. God, It was like a fancy hotel in there and I kept hoping that I will see some famous person. But alas, I didn’t see anyone but there were lot of parties going on in some of the yacht and I kept hoping I will see someone who is famous ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Anyhoos, after about 3 hrs of walking we returned to the train station and came back to Nice. We then decided to go to the Indian restaurant for the dinner and ended up there till about 9. We didn’t realise that all the bus services stops by 7.30 pm ๐Ÿ˜ฆ so we finally ended up catching the taxi to our hotel. Hubby was quite busy after coming back to our room. The only thing which I hate about this hotel is that they have the cable for internet, no wireless ๐Ÿ˜ฆ . Can you believe it? So hubby hogs it all the time.

Anyhoos, that the story for the past 2 days. Tomorrow will be another boring day, but on Friday, hubby is off and we are planning to go on the train trip around the south of France which is for 3 hrs ๐Ÿ™‚ . Maybe I will post something interesting on that day ๐Ÿ™‚ .
