Its been so long since I talked about my cats, Bommu and Bujju 🙂 and so I decided to write a post about them today. They have been settling down ok in the new house. They love running up and down in the stairs as previously we didn’t have them in our apartments in Dublin. At the moment, we live in a townhouse so they have a lot of stairs to run around 🙂 .
They had pretty good time when my parents were visiting me during August and September. Maybe I should say that they were throughly spoiled by my mom 🙂 . They found that she was a sucker and when they want something to eat, they will go and mew pathetically in front of her. Of Course, this lead to my mom telling me to put some food for them whereas they know that I will give them food only during particular time 🙄 . My mom also spoiled them by letting them sleep next to her on the bed. So now, they think its ok to sleep on the bed at night in between us 🙄 . If we close the bedroom door during the night, they sit outside the door mewing and scratching till we open them. They have trained us pretty well 🙂 .
This month has been tough for them as we had to take them for their annual vet visit for their vaccination and check up. It was then followed by blood and urine samples 😦 and they were not happy about that at all. During their health check up, the vet found that they had tartar in their teeth so she recommended that we do their dental cleaning 😀 . Have you heard any thing like that in Dublin?? When I told my mom and friends about it, they thought it was funny as even we don’t go to the dental checkup unless there was some problems 😀 .
So within a week, they had their dental cleaning where they were given anesthetic. By the time they came home in the evening, they were not happy at all. They started mewing continuously for about 3-4 hrs and thank god, they slept at night 🙂 . Within about 3 days, we noticed that Bujju (my blackie) has stopped eating and this was worrying us 😦 . He didn’t eat properly for about nearly 3 days so we had to take them to the vet again 😦 which was a torture for him. They did some test but the results were normal so the vet decided it must be a stomach upset and he will be ok within 2-3 days. And within a day or two he was ok, started eating both of the kitties food 🙂 .
They also take turns in waking us up during night 🙄 . It will be Bommu one day and thank god he tends to wake hubby up 😀 by sitting on top of him or mewing till hubby pets him 😀 . Whereas Bujju tends to wake me up 😦 and when he realized that I won’t respond then he just sleeps between us 🙂 . And of course, they walk all over us in the bed which lead to disturbed sleep 🙂 . They love sleeping on top of our blankets leading to hogging the space near our legs 🙂 .
Bujju is completely momma’s boy 😀 . He wants to sit my lap at least once a day and I have to concentrate on him and pet him. If I ignore him, he tends to bite me 🙂 to remind me that he is sitting there. He gives me nosey kisses all the time 😀 whereas Bommu only comes to when he needs something to eat or very rarely he will sit in my lap. Bommu loves to sit in hubby’s lap while he is browsing net 🙂 . They are also very naughty sometimes. They tend to tear all my hair band if they find it 🙂 .
Overall, with their cute little face and loving nature, they are certainly entertaining and make our life much more interesting 😀 .
