Review : Up & Up Refreshing Facial Scrub

I have always got the St. Ives Apricot facial scrub never realizing that there are other option out there πŸ™‚ in the drugstores. I read an article saying that Target is now competing with Wal-Mart in the prices and since then I am always in Target looking at stuffs and not buying. I also noticed their own generic brand called Up & Up for about a $ 1 less or more than the brands. Since my facial scrub was getting over and the St. Ives I bought didn’t do any thing to my skin, I decided to get this. This retails for about $ 2.50 or so.

The packaging is very simple squeeze tube with a apricot picture on the top. The formulation is exactly the same as the St. Ives Apricot scrub. It has the base of cream with apricot granules in it. This is mainly for exfoliating combination skin. Keep in mind that it is quite strong and must be used only once a week. Using them every day will scrub away the protective layer leading to very dry skin (I can vouch for that). The exfoliation is mainly for removing dead skin cells.

Since I don’t find any difference between this and St. Ives, why should I pay more for them. Sometime you even get $ 1 off coupon in Target and If you use them for this, then you get them for even cheap. Or you can wait till the drugstores have the St. Ives on sale and then get them πŸ™‚ . Overall, I would be definitely buying them if I find a bargain πŸ˜€ .
