This year I have seen a lot of hair oil sprays in the market and I was fascinated by it. They always claim that with just one spray your hair will look smooth, shiny and perfect. And of course, lot of people are sucked into it because of the fantasy of the perfect hair. I have always been Jealous of people who have silky straight hair since mine is fizzy, rough, dry hair. So I got these two products in the hopes of it being my holy grail hair product.
Moroccan Moisture Healing Argan Oil Spray
This is the first oil spray I got and as soon as I saw Argan oil, I decided to buy this. It claims to restores luster & shine and heals, nourishes and softens. It retails for about $5 or so. I got this in the Rite-aid.
The spray is the best I have ever used. It gives out a finely mist of hair spray that it is perfect for hair application without getting greasy. It doesn’t feel oily at all. It’s very light and the hair absorbs it very quickly. I don’t know if it heals the hair but it definitely gives it a shine. The only con I would say is that the smell is quite strong 😦 . It has a perfume kind of scent and it lingers for a long time. Within 2 hours, it gives me headache.
Shea Moisture Reconstructive Finishing Elixir
I saw this brand in Target for the first time and I got the leave in conditioner spray which I love. Then when I saw this one in Walgreen’s in the clearance section, I decided to get it since I loved the other product. It was for $5 and it was a good price since it retails for about $10. It claims to control fizz and shine.
The spray bottle is worst ever 😦 . It just splashes the oil making your oil very saturated with the products and it gets very oily 😦 . But I have found a better application, I sprayed it my hands and then applied it all over the hair. Use just one spray and then rub it in your palm and then apply it. It feels light when you do this. It also has a very light perfume scent which gives me head ache 😦 . Overall, I don’t know, maybe it will be ok for people who can withstand strong scents. All i wanted to do was wash my hair so that the scent would go away. I used it twice and I don’t want to touch this again just because of the scent.
My take on hair oil, maybe if they don’t have any scent or even very light scent then I would definitely give it a try 🙂 .
